Boesemani Rainbowfish

My boyfriend's mother decided she wanted to buy me some fish, so I looked around a bit and found the Boesemani Rainbowfish. I've read that they're a peaceful community fish that prefer alkaline water (which is what mine is) so I'm figuring that I'm going to purchase a couple/few.

Does anyone have any experience with them? They're beautiful fish and I think the males' blue will really pop in my primarily orange/red tank.

i would wait untl the tanks cycled from what hapened.
i like threadfins better, just for the fact of the females are not very colorful for the bosemanis, and you need more females than males.

If you get a few males and twice as many females the male will show off its colors for the females and he will beautiful. One male and three females would work too.
