I finally got some rams for my first time to day.*BOUNCINGS Im so excited!I never realized how cool they are.I'll post some pictures when they color up a little more.I think the trip home stressed them a little.Whats harder to keep, gbr's or bolivians?Because if they're about the same i would like to eventualy keep them.

Congrats on the new bolivian rams! From what I've heard, german blue rams are supposedly harder to keep alive. However, I've never had bolivians so I can't really compare the two.

Can GBR's breed with bolivians? I'm just curious...

probably bolivians, because GBRs are so crossbred and they have very few new genetics in the line. their just really unsturdy fish. but once you get one to live, then theyll last :)

I have a bolivian blue ram in my community tank that I love. She's almost like a dog. She comes right up to see me every time I look at the tank, has tons of personality, and always seems to be getting herself into some sort of mischief . She got stuck trying to explore the clear tube we put in the tank when we first got our black ghost knife for example. (the ghostknife never went in the thing so we tossed it after a few weeks) Not the prettiest fish I've ever seen but still one of my favs.

Okay i got up and took some pics of the rams!The pictures arent all that great[im still workin on pic takin].Only 2 of them have colored up a little bit but they seem to be happy with the angels.The angels were real pic friendly today so i thought i would add a pic of them.Also i have a ?.When i got up, i realized after awhile one of my rams was twitching, but when i threw food in he started acting normal?Then when he was done he twitched alittle more, and hasnt done it since?What was he doing?Was he in shock?

Nice acquisitions ya' got there, sweetpickles...congrats! :D
As for your questions...I'm not too sure because I really have no experience with rams at all. Was there any sort of 'deliberateness' to the twitching---i.e. was the ram looking at another fish or at you---or was it seemingly random?

may just be stress.
i have a discus that twitches whenever he gets excited before feeding time :)
so maybe your ram is just showing his excitement? its hard to say

hope its nothing bad :)
