Just a few new shots of Bongo. I really wish I could get a decent pic of her without the flash on, it washes her out so much. Her colouring is much nicer in person...more blue and green metallic, less bland.

I was looking at these on Aquabid and they were outrageously expensive!! Yours is gorgeous tho, SK, bravo bravo bravo!

I especially like how those black dots are ringed with almost a metallic minty color....

I thought you were against hybrids Sinister. ;)
Haha, smarty pants, lol. I'm against hybrids that are not SOLD as hybrids. If people are well aware that the fish is a hybrid, that's another story.

Good quality fish get VERY expensive. To save money, I bought Bongo here as a baby, she was only about 1" big when I got her. The problem with that, is you take the risk of having no idea what they'll mature into...a beautiful fish, or just a hum-drum same-old flowerhorn. Bongo's very pretty, and I love her to death, but she's no where near as spectacular as some of the males I was looking at as well. Still, to purchase her and have her shipped to me from Thailand, cost about $100 in total (which is actually fairly cheap).

Freddy, those spots and the metallic colouring are where they get their name...those are her "flowers" :) If you like them in the photo, you should see her in person, she's stunning. The flash washes her out too much, she's got a lot of metallic green and quite a bit of blue mixed in there too.
