For needle wheel users : Reef Central Online Community - Is this the ultimate mod for a CSS 220?!

I did it, it's simply amazing. It took...mhh 2 mn to put the fishing line. Simple mod. A cheap and reversible ( < for the warranty ) alternative mod compared to the mesh mod. A lot of coralife skimmer users found that the bubble aren't really small even with the needle wheel. Now it's possible

Change the title to boost your needle wheel cheaply, but it's a great mod.

I really ought to write a comparism article between a seaclone and a good venturi skimmer - the design compromises are pretty big.

know a guy who mesh modded the maxijet impeller of a seaclone..impressive results for one of the worst skimmer i've ever seen..
I'm waiting to get an ATI bubblemaster or an euroreef..for now the fishing line works well but the ss3004 is just too big for the skim you get and mostly unstable, even in sump. For the price..it's great but overall..nah. Good pump tough..
