Botia Angelicus ... finally got some

We went to the LPS today to get a couple of Harlies, and found Botia Angelicus

We only got two, as they were $10.99 each (but that's not a bad price anyway). I have been wanting some of these for a long time.

We also picked up an ADF to go in the betta's tank.

Just wanted to share *celebrate

congrats on a super score if i say so myself.boita angelicus is a pretty new fish,so 10.99 isn't bad.plust they have to be one of the best looking loaches.can't beat that

Apparently they have a new name: Botia kubotai (angelicus was a trade name). Apparently it is loach season again in the Far East, I even saw sidthimunki available on Aquabid today.

Late Winter/Early Spring is definitely the season for loaches to arrive in the lfs. I've been looking for Botia angelicus ever since I saw an article on one. Haven't found any in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area yet but your post gives me hope!! $10.99.....I'd snap up a trio in a heartbeat!!!

What the pictures don't really show is that they kinda shimmer in the light....very cool

It seems the largest they get is about 5 inches.

I saw a few at my LFS a couple of times (same batch). I think they were 2 or more for $10 each. I'm still kicking myself for not getting some. I haven't seen them since late last summer. I will be asking for them again! Very beautiful botias!
