Anyone know of some sort of bottom feeder that actually stays on the bottom? I'm doing an experiment about what kind of substrate is best, and I don't think I'll be able to get kuhli loaches (everyone's out). It's only a 20 gallon, so they need to be/stay reasonably small. And I need 6 on a semi-limited budget, so reasonably priced. Preferably reasonably available. Any ideas?

Ooh, I had a thought. I bet ADFs would work if I found some. But I still need suggestions if you've got any...

cories usually hang out on the bottom. They might swim up to the top once in awhile while they're playing...but mine are on the bottom of the tank probably 95% of the time?

Aww, he's cute! I don't think I've ever seen one. I need to find some bigger fish stores around here to brouse. Do you know how big they get?

Cories are a possibility, they just move around a lot. They would work, just take more effort to collect data for. I think they rank right below ADFs on my "experiment wish list." But then, I know I can definately find them around here.
