Bought a 300 gph power filter for $10 at lfs

#1
I was at my LFS yesterday just browsing their new shipments, on my way out I noticed some power filters I hadnt seen before. Some Living World Dynaflows, that say they flow 300 gph on the box, I opened it up and they were of course very cheap and looked like poor quality plastic, so I decided to take my chances paying for a $10 power filter. When I got home I set it up and threw it on my 20 gallon just to see if this so called 300 gph filter actually was true. Sure enough, it pumps a good amount of water, I was surprised. It pumps way more than my 200 gph filter for sure, I let it run all night on my 10 gallon tank, and it still is working. I might go buy a few more for extras or something, couldnt hurt to have some spares.

yes, getting a 300gph filter for 10 is a good deal(bought my whisper for 38 bucks, but its really quiet!) it would be worth your time checking around about it though, just incase you get home from buying three more and find it broken down or spitting water on your floor. the cheapest ive seen one is 22 bucks so you got a deal!:D

I looked around on the net and they seem to be OK for other people. This LFS is very good for supplies, they sell all their equipment at cost, and make their profit off fish, their fish are very cheap too. They are really nice people, they arent in it for the money, they say they just like having to take care of all the fish and just get by to pay their bills. They have 250+ tanks in their back room, they have a HUGE giant gourami on display, and a couple of good sized arowanas too, their display tanks are so beautiful, I'll have to take some pics for you guys.
