Breeding angelfish on a medium scale?

HOW MANY TANKS WOULD i need if I were to have a few pairs of angels breeding, a few grow out tanks, and one show tank? Has anyone else tried and if so how many tanks did you have and size? I'm thinking a 55 gallon, 2 or 3 29 gallons, and a ten gallon. Any where near sufficient?

It would more depend on what you want to get out of it. Are you looking to breed angels as a "factory" or are you looking to work with some specific genetic traits?

I'd say if you add another couple of 55g tanks, you could do it. The last time I raised them, it took a 55g to grow out a single spawn to a decent size... and that wasn't even a very big spawn.

I really want to breed for traits for myself, but basically sell the ones I don't want to LFS's around me. So Some might hate me, but I will cull the ones that aren't physically healthy. The traits I don't want will go to LFS's, but the good ones for my own stock. So, I guess we'll see. I have to wait until I move in June to start breeding, but I might start buying stock and maybe they will start to pair off by my move.
