anything you put in there with them would most likely get killed.

those brichardis will sooner or later fill up that tank with offspring...

I agree with DanL, keep this as a species tank. Brichardi do not needs dithers or target fish, though some have inserted target fish to distract adults who were fighting amongst themselves.

Agreed with the others. Despite there smaller size, they can be a very aggresive Tang, and easily kill tankmates larger than them. With a breeding pair, this seems to go double.

I am one who have added some target fish for the very reason TaffyFish said. To distract the adults. When actualy breeding, the male really likes to do a number on the female, but with the target fish, his aggresion is more spread out. So if everything is working for you, I would leave well enough alone.

I had a rubber lip pleco with them though all the aggress was towards him, he passed after the last water change without a tail fin. would there be anything like otto's to help with the alge or should I just keep scraping? thanks for all you input

The first five are still alive and stil in the tank, I dont have enough money to set my ten gal up right now what are the chances they will stay alive? I am tring really hard to get the ten gal up.

Normaly N. brichardi are excellent parents. And the fry from previous spawns will hang around and help the parents take care of any newer spawns. If the brichardi are still young, then it might take them some time to figure out how to be good parents. So I wouldnt be in a real big hurry to move thefry from the other spawn. It is quite endearing to watch the juviniles take care of there younger siblings.

I would suggest removing the third brichardi though, brichardi's will form a strong pair bond, when they get older that extra brichardi will take a good beating...
