It really isn't that difficult. Get a adult group of about 6 fish. Transfer them to their own 10 gallon tank, with a cycled sponge filter and raise the temp a bit. During this time, feed them heavily on Live blackworms, bloodworms, and other high protein foods. When doing this look for any fish that seem overactive, and very fat. These could be potential females. Anyway, after a day or two do a large, cool water change, usually 3-5 degrees work well for me and will not harm the fish much. They should lay eggs soon after that. Once the eggs are laid, remove the adults immediately. You will find usually around 100+ eggs plastered to the walls of the tank. The ones that turn an orange, are fertile, and the white, will soon fungus. Adding Methayne blue or any other anti fungal will help with this. Once they hatch, wait a day or two, and then start feeding heavily on micro- worms. The fry will grow very slowly, being bite size for quiet a while. Just feed heavily, and do many small daily water changes and they should be fine.
Good luck,
Daniel
