I have one male and one female Kenyi Cichlid. I have a 75 gal tank with some labs in there as well. I have noticed my female Kenyi shimmying in place over several pieces of slate and then picking things off the slate. Can you see the eggs that Kenyi's lay? Also how long before they hatch?

You should be able to see them. They should be small round brown balls. But once they are fertilized the female will take them in her mouth and hatch them there. I've also seen some drop eggs in a cloud of the male's sperm and fertilize them and then the females grab them before they hit the bottem.

But most likely will be the rock laying method.

I'd say a few days before they hatch.
