Breeding Kribs?

At what size do kribs usually start breeding,and once they get going how often will they have fry?

I have 3 pairs of kribs, but no fry yet, due to an absent breeding tank. When my first male a female paired up,the male was about 2 1/2 inches with the female 2 inches. If you are looking into breeding them, put them in atleast a 20G tank with 2 caves and some plants for when there scared. Also look on the internet. Good luck!

Whats it mean when the female like shakes almost her whole body?

When the females tummy is a pinkish-purple and she is shimmying around the male, that means she wants to breed with him*DRUMMER*

Well,The female shakes and sometimes the male will shake back but no eggs yet.

It took a week for my kribs to lay eggs, then 2 days for them to be eaten
Guess they needed practice.

Yea,mine are only about 1-1.5in for the female and 2-2.5in for the male.

I think i might be in a little bit of trouble.I've thrown flake and pellet food into the tank and the dont eat it.Later they do pick at the ground but i dont think there eating anything.Help please!

Any sign of fry? I don't want to get your hopes up but sometimes they will chew the food and spit it back to the fry so they can eat.

If not, do a WC and keep that water clean.

When my 1st spawn of Kribs were about 8 months old the dominant pair were ready to spawn. and they chased all of the lesser brothers & sisters to the other side of the tank. When they do get ready to breed it only takes a week from when they start to vibrate to when the female disappears in the cave.
