just wondering if anyone has ever bred red shoulder peacocks before? i did a little research and found that its best to have one male and 2 or more females. they are also mouthbrooders. i put 2 females in with my one male and both the females stay at the top of the tank behind the filter or powerhead. could they be holding? i cant ever get a good look at the females though. is there a certain age when they a mature enough to be bred? anyways thanks for any advice or comments!

i got a look at one of the females, it seems as though she has a small bulge under her mouth, never had experience with mouth brooders so im not sure if it starts out small or not, fingers crossed!

after observing the tank for awhile, it seems as though the male has "his place" in the tank, and when the females decide to venture out from behind the powerhead or filter, he rushes them and chases them for a good little while, then they retreat back to the powerhead or filter. when i put the second female in, she went right to the male and started the cichlid characteristic shaking as ive seen before with previous cichlids ive owned, i believe that this means that she is showing off to him, or trying to induce mating? oh well, let me know something if you can!
