breeding siamese fighters

hey ppls,

i was wondering if any of you can help me..... i'm wanting to start breeding siamese fighters. at the moment i don't know very much. i do however know that timing is critical so that the male doesn't "beat up" the female too much. does anyone know of any good reference material online?? i'm going to see this lady at uni about breeding them this coming week.....

www.bettatalk.com is a good website with info on spawning bettas and raising fry. I'll see if I can find a post that I wrote about breeding them for you to read. It brings up a few topics to think about before you start breeding them.

Okay, I bumped up the thread for you. I would also suggest searching archives in the betta/gourami section for other posts regarding the topic. Just type in the word "breeding" and a ton of useful posts will come up.
