breeding tank

I was giving some thought to setting up an extra plants/breeding/quarantine tank. would it be possible to combine all three functions into, say, a 10g? I was thinking that since the filtration for all three might be sorta similar...what else would I need, do you think? probably making a trip over to petco tonight to pick up the tank...thanks for your help

You can quarantine fish in a tank that has plants in it, but I wouldn't do it in a breeding tank... I am doing this exact same thing now, I have some clown loaches in quarantine with some plant clippings.

I always use separate breeding tanks...

as long as u dont breed and quarintine at the same time it should be fine right guys back me up here. but i can see that as being a pain walmart sells reeeeeaaaal cheap ten gallons with everything u need. just an idea. peace
