Hallo all.

as I said in the general forum, I am back after a few years of being without fish. I am looking for some good advice in building a working brine shrimp hatchery. I had terrible luck with it before. I pretty much went out and purchased 30 ghost shrimp and put them in a 10 and let them breed to get food for my fry before. but in my area is has become quite difficult to find ghost shrimp as of late.

any suggestions? I have -

1 10 gal
1 5.5 gal
1 2.5 gal

7 different air pumps
4 sponge filters
2 waterfall filters (different)
6 heaters
6 light strips
5 air stones
1 huge tube of brine shrimp eggs (about 2+ yrs old...still good?)

Are you going to be needing a constant supply of them for fry? I'm just wondering how many you're going to want, and whether it would just be better to set up the "soda bottle" type for occasional use.

There are lots and lots of plans/instructions online, if you want to check some out.
