Bristleworms

I just noticed a bristleworm coming out of the rock my bubble coral is on. Should I be conserned? If so what would be the best way to remove it or them if there is more?

There really is no need to worry. Bristleworms are very beneficial to our tanks and the majority pose no harm to the inhabitants that we keep. They are great detrivores and spend most of their time scavenging for food. Even the larger bristle worms are beneficial even though they make look harmful. They are a couple species that will feed on corals, gorgonians, etc but they are very uncommon.

Thanks, I'll just keep an eye out on my corals. I did see it come out of the rock where my bubble coral is so hopefully it wasn't doinging anything it shouldn't be.

I have never seen one in my tank and I have thought of buying some.....go figure

I have read mixed reviews. I guess some of them can eat corals. So hopefully I have a nice one. Yes, they do make good sand shifters and eat detrius.

Is there an easy to tell if they are the ones that eat corals or ones that eat detrius?

There's absolutely nothing to worry about, they're good for your tank. Chances are very very slim that you have a bad worm on your hands.
