Bubbles or not?????

I was told by my LFS that air bubbles in Sw cause problems by building up salt layer on the top of the water. If this is true what else can I do to put oxgen in the tank?

salt layers on your hardware, canopy yeah...but in the water ? Most likely you will find a organic deposit floating but salt dissolves.

You don't need air bubbles to put oxygen in the tank. The air bubbles are not what puts oxygen in the tank. The air bubbles simply cause water movement. 'Turning over' the water and letting oxygen dissolve from the air into the surface of the water is what oxygenates the water. The outfall from your filter, a powerhead, or just having good water current lead to good oxygen levels in the tank.
