Hey everyone, I have a question that I probably could look up, but asking you all would be more informative for me, I have some Black convicts and when this one one pair had babies, one was bug eyed. He's a year old and his eye's are still bugged, but now he looks bloated. I'm thinking he's going to die, because he's really not eating. Would anyone happen to know what this is? Has he been sick for a year? And last but most important, are the other Cons in jeopardy? Thanks so much for any and all replys!*PEACE!*

How old or how big is this deformed fish? How long ago were they born? Are the others not showing any signs?

My guess is that its just something in the genes causing it if none of the others have it. Any protruding scales from the fish though?

Probably just a genetic mutation or something.

hey cichlid-man, i'm saying that they'd be 2yrs old this summer. as i thought Bug Eyed Beasley was dead this morning, it happened so fast, he was fine untill he got bloated up 3 days ago. i didn't notice the scales protruding or anything, he was white looking and bloated. none of the other fish look like that, i'm watching them pretty close. i'll miss him, he was topic of conversation for a long time. thanks for your input. oh yeah, he was an adult probably 3-4 inches. thanks again
