Recently I have noticed that 1 of my Bumblebee Gobies is looking anorexic.
I dont feed my fish every day, but every few days, I have vegetation in the tank and look at not polluting the water with extra food that the fish havent eaten at time of eating and cause of the type of fish I have, a lot of them will eat from the bottom of the tank, which the fish work well with.
But over the last few of weeks, I have noticed that one of my Bumblebee Gobies is looking anorexic, so I have been feeding them a bit extra each week, a little more then what I was feeding them, to hope that maybe my Goby will start putting on a little weight. I have put some medication in the tank, but dont know if it will help, none of my fish have had the problem before.
My other goby is fine though, nice and full and pretty much the way a bumblebee goby should look like and so I dont know whether the bumblebee gobies are fighting and I thought of maybe transferring the goby I think that is sick to another tank.
I have my bumblebee gobies in a 2 ft tank, with 7 black & golden widow tetras, 4 black neon tetras, 1 golden algae eater, 1 female guppy & two harlequin rasboras. The fish arent all grown to size and there is a bit of vegetation in the tank and hiding places, so there is a lot of space in the tank for them to move in the tank.
I have had these bumblebee gobies for ages and think they are so cute and dont like losing fish. My fish were sick quite a few months back, but they have been fine for ages, so I dont really know what is wrong.
Symptoms of my sick goby: body skinny and head visible, colouring much lighter then the other goby, much like what a male goby would look like in the event of spawning, other then that nothing else really that would make me worry, gobies arent very active so looking at them being sluggish in the tank isnt really anything to go on, now and then the bumblebee gobies may try nip each other, but there has not been any aggressive fighting.
Help, can anyone give me any advice.
