Buying a Rena FilStar xP1

I'm going to get a Rena FilStar xP1 for my 29 gallon tank. Baring the media that comes with it, is there anything you would suggest I buy to start out?

where are you going to get the filter.. I saw one extremely cheap

I've seen it at petsolutions.com for around $70 and shipping isn't bad with them.

I'd suggest springing for the XP2 on a 29g. That's what I am using. I use the stock media plus the Filtration XP pads and Bio-stars. Works great. The extra filter media slots are well worth it.

OR you could even go XP3... I ordered mine through my LFS and got it for 125. Now i have tons of filtration capacity FOR MY 29 and room to grow (like into the 75 gallon im looking to buy). if you're worried about turning your tank into a spin cycle, there's a handy little check valve that you can control the output of the filter through.
