How do you guys feel about it?
Any experiences? Any good websites that u recommend?

Once my tank finish the cycle i want to get guppies but i cant find any cool ones that i like here in NYC, every LFS i go to usually have the same fancy guppies, the regular ones. And lets not even talk about Petco, Petsmart etc... Never have anything good.

Im looking for like Delta Tail Guppies or lyretail guppy. Not necessarily those ones im open to any other cool ones

I have not used them myself, but a coworker of mine swears by liveaquaria.com They do have a two week live guarantee. They only do next day shipping, which is pricey, but it's really the only option when shipping live animals.

I have bought SW stuff from liveaquaria including some giant clams. they are really good to ship. you pretty much never get losses and if you do, they will credit you.

otherwise i also use aquabid. it's an auction site where fish breeders sell their stock. i bet you can find some very nice guppies there.

G-, if you live in the Buffalo area, 42 Aquatics has the guppies you're looking for. In regards to mail-order, I've talked with fish folks who do nothing but mail-order for one reason or the other. For me, I don't have anything so fancy that I can't find it locally. I'm super lucky to have two LFS, nearby.

When I was looking for a dog I noticed there were quite a few ads for fish and related aquarium things - shrimp, plants, etc. Sometimes free, too. Just remember: you need to look under "Community" for "Pets" and not under "For Sale" Maybe everyone else already knows this but I didn't until my daughter alerted me. At first I couldn't figure out how come there were so few dogs for sale. "Mom, you're looking in the wrong place!" I simply can't believe the people that own snakes - and they are trying to get rid of them!!!
