Bye Aqua:(

I had this beutiful betta that had blue, green, and red all together to make a really pretty fish. I had named him Aqua. Now, sadly, after 2 years of having him, he's gone I think he somehow got sick, because he just started sinking to the bottom, only swimming for air. He also stopped eating. I hope he would make it but he died sometime while I was asleep. I haven't actually been able to say goodbye yet. Is there any kind of illness that would have made him sick and stop eating?

2 years is "old" for a betta, especially if you purchased him at walmart/petsmart or other big-box store. He may have just died of old age.

but why did he stop eating?

because it was too much of a struggle to get to the surface. eaiser to just lay there.

thats kinda sad. it was saddening to wake up and the first thing i see is him dead

It's amazing how we get attached to them, isn't it? So sorry for your loss.

thank you. It is hard to say goodbye to them. It probably sounds silly but I kept wishing he would wake up....
