can a RTS be a tankmate with Mbunas?

#1
I have a little prob and was wanting some input please. I have a RTS (red tail shark) that is getting too big for his britches.. He is currently in a 25 g tropical community tank and is chasing everyone around. He is about 3 in long and he grew up in the 25 g. I got him when he was about 1 in long.
I have a 55 g with malawis and was wondering if I could put him in that tank?
Thanks ahead of time.... any suggestions are greatly appreciated:D

It might depend on how big the mbunas are... the shark shouldn't harm the mbunas (especially because the shark should claim territory on the bottom), but I don't know if the mbunas would go after the shark.

I have kepted a rainbow shark with mbuna before and I will say it can be done but it is a bit risky. My shark stayed with the mbunas for a month or two but when I removed the cichlids, the shark had all kinds of marks on his skin from the constant bickering between them.
