yeah i must agree with lotus, they look like angelicus to me too! there a good species, not too bothery, too scared (like clown loaches) and dont freak out so much. id buy some if there were some here, i think there one of the better looking loaches
well, uglness perception differs from one person to another. as the quote goes "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." other loaches that scare me are horse-faced ones *shivers* but my mom doesnt like kuhli loaches, odd
argh it has a bit of ich.
Now would be a good time to get a bunch of clown loaches. they always get ich anyway. and then treat the tank all at once
now some people know why I said I'll never get loaches again
grr.
Yeah, ours have a touch of ich too. Hopefully it won't be a big issue. They seem to be less suceptible than clowns, which would have been covered by now. I have sometimes even had ich go away on its own, but not on clowns
The poor things have had a long journey from Asia to your tank, and I am sure that was a little stressful for them.
well after bumping the temp up to 86 all the ich is gone (from this lifecycle anyway).
I might try those clowns again after all. it's nice to have some non-cichlid wildcaughts in my house.
I just wanted to say, that these loaches absolutely adore tubifex worm cubes. They like bloodworms, snails and shrimp pellets fine, but went crazy when I put a tubifex cube in.
those loaches are so neat, i've been looking in to getting some loaches, clowns 9 as there the only ones the stores round here have ) but wont be getting them for atleast another month
