Can Kribensis be brackish?

I'm thinking of downsizing my tanks and just having one tank - a 55 gallon brackish and getting rid of my 25 gallon freshwater tank. But I really like my kribs (who are currently in the FW tank) and want to keep them. I've read a lot online saying they sometimes come from brackish regions. I currently have three figure 8 puffers, three female & two male red velvet swordtails in a heavily filtered 55 gallon brackish tank. It's considered "lightly" brackish if that helps...it's at about 1.008 salinity.

ah yes. the compatibility issue. I guess I never considered that....how dumb of me. Although my puffers are pretty docile, the kribs aren't, especially when they have babies. They'd chew my hand off if they had teeth. Maybe if a couple of their current babies live I'll try to put a few in there and see how they fare, once they are larger than bite size for the puffers ;)

This MTS thing is like a black hole. Once you're in, you're in for a looooooooooong time.

LOL! Yeah, they are fairly "diligent" parents ;). Could try them while leaving the other tank set up until you're pretty sure it'll work out.

LMAO! Tell me about it... someone on another forum just asked me today how many tanks I have running... I guess 6 isn't so bad but the other 6 that are empty still adds up :D. (plus one more that is being used as a sump)
