My Pictus catfish has a grey-white thing attached to his back right after the head. It is cylindrical form with 0.5mm in diameter and about 1mm hight and looks like very small horn. Yesterday it was smaller, buy today it has been growing and there are 2 more, smaller ones on his head.
I tried search the Internet and books but could not find anything that looks simular. Maybe you have seen anything.
