Can someone identify my new African?

Hey Everyone,

I finally got my tank back up and running and was able to convince the wife to let me get African Cichlids. Glad to be back doing it. :) It's been a while since I have done africans. I went to Petco, and got 6 African Cichlids from the "Assorted Cichlid" tank. I was able to get two Snow White Scofolofi, 2 Red Zebras, 1 OB Zebra, and this other one that I cannot for the life of me, remember what it is called. Could someone identify him/her for me?

It appears to be blue or purple w/ an Orange Top Fin. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It looks to be a "red top" type. The exact species is hard to know for sure. There are a number of "red tops", the most common being M. greshakei. My suggestion would be to let it mature a bit more as this one looks to be a young male. After colouring up see if you could match it to any of the "red tops" (Metriaclima greshakei, M. pyrsonotos, M. fainzilberi, M. "Mbenji"). The Odd blotched one is possibly an OB zebra. M. estherae OB. www.cichlidforum.com can sometimes hit it right on the head for you but there are no guarantees.
