Can you identify a fish by it's description?

I saw a pretty fish in a tank somewhere, and I'm interested to know what it was. It was disk shaped, black with gold (gold, not yellow) speckles all over it. It had fairly large eyes and a large, upturned mouth.

Any ideas?

Maybe a discus?

It was the same shape, but had a larger mouth that looked like he had a serious underbite!

Also, he was about 5-6 inches in diameter, about like a discus.

One more thing to add to his description: the gold speckles were more like flecks of gold than speckles.
