Canister Filter for a Nano?

I'm looking into a more efficent type of filtration for my nano.

Is there such a thing as a small canister filter that could be used for a nano aquarium? I know that you can increase the overall water volume in the tank by having this type of filter, but would it be too strong for a small application? Are there models available that have adjustable flow outlets?

Thanks ahead of time!

lol, still working out the bugs in that when ever I find the time.

How small of a nano are you talking about? They do make a small canister filter for turtle tanks (which is stupid IMHO cause they are super nasty and would need a full size canister). To me it looks like a giant duetto filter, you can just use it outside of the tank. It's my last resort if I can't get my DIY one working the way I want it. Here is the link: 501 Turtle Filter

The eheim eccos have a very low flow rate in proportion to their size. Though I tihnk the lowest is still 100 gph approx, but you could put a tap on the outlet and run it at about 50 gph.

Ask eheim how that would work.

No kidding! I currently run 2 magnum 350 canisters on my turtle aquarium, approximately 20g of water volume. Even that flow rate can have problems at times with the turtle.
