Canister filter

my hot magnum canister filter runs out of water i always have to be refilling it..its a pain

Make sure your lid is on correctly with the red/orange seal in place. Also, before you put the lid on, make sure you have all pieces and o-rings in the proper places. You know that blue plastic piece that fits on the very top? Make sure you have it in place, then fill the water to where it covers the piece, but not covering the center ring that sticks up slightly higher than the surrounding area. When you put the lid on, water will probably run down the side, so put a towel down. Now start it up. You should get a slight whoosh then complete silence.

Also, make sure your intake is fit in it's spot good, so it isn't sucking in air.....

i had that problem too also make sure u wet the orange ring a lil helps makes a good seal somewhere it's not completly sealed it's either the ring on the lid or the intake connection i don't have a pic of them but just look under the lid and see if there's like a orange ring looks like a giant rubber band in shap of a D
