Carbon Question

Well today I found a baby turbo snail In my tank I was wondering is it necassary to buy carbon drops for him to make his shell or does it not matter.

not sure what a carbon drop is, but his shell is made of calcium so as long as your Ca levels are normal you should be fine

It's not a must to test for calcium, as long as you are doing your water changes and are using a good Salt mix; it also doesn't hurt to test for proper levels either!

If you have the money to purchase a test kit, then I say "Why not" the closer your water is to the proper levels the better off your tank will be!
