Cascade 700 ??

#1
I've been looking for an appropriate filter for a 20 gallon long tank, planted. I'm thinking of going with the Cascade 700 canister filter, the few reviews I have seen about it haven't been bad. I'd like an Eheim, but this is much cheaper. I'm thinking of getting the 700 now, so at some point when I can upgrade to a bigger tank, I won't have to buy a new filter.

Any recommendations or experience?

most people say that if u cant get an ehiem get an XP1 XP2 or XP3. and for the cascade 700, i dont see anything wrong but mayb the current. it may be too stong but i dont kno how much the gph for it is so it might work or it might not. other than that about the gph i dont see anything wrong

at the cost the via aqua is the best buy.filstars are nice but cost more.also the via aquas have the largest media volume.it's your choice though.the cascades seem pretty nice, cost is outrageous for a penn-plax product though.i wouldn't pay the retail price considering the quality of penn-plax products.
