A couple of fish questions...
I read on another thread that zebra danios (and all danios, in fact) are more coldwater fish than tropical fish. As I had thought they could be kept at tropical temperatures, I have them in a tank that is at roughly 77 degrees...and occasionally over 80 in the summer. The tank is a 20 gallon tall, and there are also 2 female guppies in with the 5 zebra danios.

On an unrelated note, what are some smallish catfish that aren't schooling fish? I feel like every one I look at wants to be with a bunch of friends! I had two ottos, but they died recently, and I'm trying to figure out what I could put in my tank as a bottom dweller (once I figure out why the ottos died, and if there's something I need to fix in my tank).
Any information is appreciated!

In a 20gal you could probably get away with a clown pleco. They get to be about 3-3.5".

As for danios, they are more hardy than most species and can tolerate a VERY wide range of temperatures. They *prefer* cooler water, but don't have to be in cooler water. They'll do just fine in warmer temps as well.
