CATFISH

Hi - I went to petsmart yesterday, and saw 2 of the cutest little catfish. However, no one at petsmart could id them and they wouldn't let me take a picture. So I hoping you guys can help. They were about 2 inches long, black with with spots(kinda like a dalmation) and a flat head. They were in a tank with mollies and everyone seemed to be happy. They just swam up/down the glass, not hiding or anything. I think they were catfish because of the whiskers. The petsmart people told me they were loaches, but that's not right. THanks for any help

why dont you click on the profiles button at the top of the screen and look through the catfish section? that small sounds like it could be a cory?

Hi - I did, none of those are a match....This fish doesn't have the body of a cory...*GOLDFISH*

Well how about the rest of the catfish...like a pictus? or did you look through the loach section? There is at least one spotted one I can think of...

Thanks for the reply..not a spotted raphael...this is large white sports and the body is kinda flat and wide made.... it was black with 3-4 large white spotson the head and body. the tail was black and clear...i really wanted to get 2, but not sure if it would grow big or was aggressive...thanks

hi thanks for info...i went thru all pics on planet catfish...no luck....the fish kinda is shaped like the one in your picture Pure...but all black with 3-4 large white spots on the body....i'm beginning to think it's not a catfish, but i don't know what else to look for....i tried plecs and loaches still no luck
any help is appreciated...thanks jan

Hi everyone...Just wanted to let you know mystery is solved...fish was a very young bumblebee catfish....Unfortunately, I can't use them...they get to big 4-5 inches are are aggressive toward smaller fish....I really wanted to thank everyone for all the help...Much love to all and happy fish keeping...Jan*twirlysmi
