Ok, so the other day i got my RO unit, it isnt set up yet but we are hopefully gonna do that tomorrow.
As most of you know im using tap water at the moment so my question is...
How do i go about changing the water to RO? Do i get rid of all the tap water in there and fill up with RO then drip-aclimate the livestock? or is that not necessary?

Please help!!

just make sure your water change water is the same ph, sg, and temp and you will be fine, do a 25% change and again biweekly for a couple months and you will be pretty much turned over.

Cool thanks Lorna.
I did the first RO water change today. Everything went well, and the livestock didnt appeared shocked or anything.
I tested Nitrates in the RO water and they are 0ppm whereas tap water nitrates are about 6-7ppm

your not guna shock any thing ... just go about your water changes as normal ... when i switch over to r/o it took about a month and a half till all the algae cleared up
