Does anyone know where I could buy some cheap, nice decorations? I want a large piece of driftwood, but I don't really want to spend $50 on it. I have a 20 gallon with swordtails, guppies, and neons and need some more hiding spots for them. I have many plants right now and just want something sort of large that will look nice.

Petco has some really cool medium sized Mopani wood for about $9-$11? dollars. It's made by Zoo Med. I have one in my 20gL right now. It automatically sinks but still leaches tannins (lowers the pH of the aquarium). Personally, I don't mind the tea color the tannins create, but if you don't want yellow water then just boil the driftwood.

Yellow water doesn't sound too appealing. But, I'll look at PetCo. Thanks a lot for the tip. I've been looking at PetSmart and found a $20 one that I like so I might go with it. I have a lot of plants right now and just want something else. Thanks though.

I have that decoration in my aquarium currently :p my two mollies enjoy exploring its cracks and hiding spots :) it took a while for them to get used to it and actually begin going in it though :p

I agree with you and I have a couple of pieces like that, although I really do like that one. I have had some of the paint come off of the ones I have, but its been that way for over a year and certainly hasn't hurt any fish.

Sounds good! It should give my guppies some extra places to hide
