Cheap MH Stuff

Any comments on elights.com, they have a section for MH lights. Ballasts start at $35-50Watts and up. $56-250Watts, $65-400Watts.

I am not sure what the ballasts includes. Is it ready to go or do you need to buy lighting fixtures or anything extra besides building some kind of fixture to mount the bulbs and ballast to.

Help from someone who knows MH lighting and fixtures.

That's just a ballast.

You will need a three prong cord that is stripped $4, wire nuts $2, ballast enclosure $10-$15, Molex wiring $4-$10, Mogul socket $5-$10.

Add that on to your cost also.


Most of the time when it comes to DIY MH, it will save you somewhere around $20-$30.
