I have a couple questions about cherry barbs:

1. What is the difference between male and female?
2. Can my tank fit two cherry barbs?
3. How do you breed Cherry Barbs?

Female cherry barbs tend to be paler (not as red) than the males. I think you could fit a couple in your tank. They aren't really scooling fish so they would be happy. Don't know about breeding them. I am sure you could do a google search and find out.

Along with putting 1-2 cherry barbs in my 29, would I be able to fit:

Option A:
1 sparkling gourami
1 killifish

or

Option B:
5 Hatchetfish

or

Option C:
5-6 Neon Tetras

I suspect sparkling gouramis wouldn't like it, since they need quiet tanks with peaceful tankmates. Hatchetfish might have issues with occupying the same space as the butterfly. I don't see a problem with neon tetras... they might get a little bullied by the danios though. You might do better to get some cherry barbs and a few more giant danios to give them a better school.

i think is best to add two male cherry and a female, cause sometime male will disturb other fish if they dont have 'challenge".U can add around 3-5.They are quite sensitive.they need soft water.
