My mean SOB of a gold severum male, who I absolutely adore even though I shouldn't. Finding tankmates that he plays well with has been a real challenge. He's seriously the most aggressive severum I've ever seen. The only one I've ever seen that will actually attack my finger when it comes near the glass, he's such a prick. But he's a gorgeous SOB, and this is the reason he gets to stay.

Thanks BV.

Tab, he has got a girlfriend - I think. I got PO'd about two months ago and threw two green severums in with him. I had to remove one when Chester started laying the smack down, but he's been letting the second live with him since then, so I'm assuming it's a female. They've never spawned, but neither are adults yet and she - again, assuming it's a she - is much smaller than he is.

He is handsome :p And I have to agree that he looks innocent. ;) Any pics of his 'lady'?

O and with all of these big fish you have how mny fricken tanks do you have women?? LOL :)

25.

Lol and I'll try to get pics of the green sev, she's not as camera-friendly as Chester is. He also now lives with 4 Geophagus that I threw in there yesterday, and a A. diadema for a while now...but I may have to remove him, he doesn't seem too happy in there.

I have 5 severums 3 gold and 2 green, my gold breeding pair are very nasty they actually killed my 2 plecos that were each almost a foot long. The other 3 severums are very calm. I find the severums are mean towards the other severums but don't really bother with my bala sharks...

Lol wow, mention having 25 tanks and watch your thread grow! ;)

I've been keeping fish for 15 years, started when I was 8. While living with my parents, they wouldn't let me have any more than I could cram into my bedroom, and nothing bigger than a 20gal, so I only ever had like 5 going at the time. But when I moved in with my boyfriend about three and a half years ago, things kind of went nuts from there, and we got up to 25 pretty quick.

They're not all big tanks, not by a long shot. They range from 5gal up to 90gals for the monsters, and every size inbetween basically. They're in just about every room, too...there's three in my bedroom, two in one spare room, four in another spare room, whole bunch in my living room/dining room (basically just one big room), and all the bigger ones are downstairs on the cement floor. I'm hoping to squeeze one more in down there if I can, but it will be a BIG one, at least 150gal or bigger. I'm trying to hold off until we move though - we currently rent this place, and it's only a duplex. Moving when we finally buy a house is gonna be totally lame.

Well, the bigger ones are...

3 - 55gal
1 - 65gal
2 - 75gal
1 - 90gal

And probably the 150gal+ before we finally make it out of here. It's already been decided that the boy will be in charge of moving basically everything else, lol, and I'm in charge of the tanks. I think we'll probably just rent one of those big, huge moving cube vans or something and move a bunch of them at a time.
