I had two fish holding eggs at the same time and pretty much released at the same time also. One was a kenyi and the other was a red devil. Was wondering what are the chances of the fry surviving in the tank? As far as I can tell, there are about eight that I can see, no telling how many more I haven't seen. I want them to survive but know if I try to take the grown fish, most will try to hide under rocks and stuff and if I move the rocks, the babies will jump out and possibly get eaten. I know this because back maybe a year ago I found one from a previous batch in a tak as I was cleaning it and it shot out and it was like a feeding frenzy for the bigger ones to see who gets it first.
Anyways, they have been in the tank for I'd say two weeks now and the ones I see in there are still alive. How big do they have to get to know they won't become food? Is there any way to get them out of the tank?
