Seeing Leopardess's post in plant section made me want to open this up a bit more.

If you have any pictures of your cichlids that you wouldn't mind sharing with us for the cichlid profiles then please consider it.

From the other post, and a bit edited to fit this post's means ;): "Please try to get a crisp, clear image that is in focus and representative of the Cichlid species."

Like the others, i will give you credit at the end of the profile for your pics, or you could put a small copyright on your pictures.

Each profile has room for 3 (I think?) pictures and most of them now have 1. I'd like to get some diversity in there and have more than one representation of each species.

No specific picture requests now.

You can email me your pics. I believe you can email me through the board by clicking the little icon, if you have problems shoot me a PM and i will reply.

Reminder, If you have any cichlids that are not already up n our profiles and would like to see them, please let me know. If you would like you can write the profile, just follow the structure of the profiles already up.

I will try to photograph my Jack Dempsey. He is really great. It's dif though w/o flash but with flash his colors are not right.
I also have very good specimen of green severum (red bellied variety) but he is giving me troubles because he really self-injurer (gorgeous in the evening, scratched all over in the morning) and he has some kind of parasite we are battling with. It is also difficult to catch him in intermediate mood when he is most beautiful: his color is ranging from dull dirty-green (bad) to bright transparent yellow with dark tail band (excited before feeding) and red eyes. In intermediate mood he is light green-yellowish with red eye crossed by black band and dark red belly -really great.
You see why those pics are so valuable.

Thanks for pointing that out Leopardess, you can all shoot me a PM to get my email. :)

FF, i'll go take a look.

Sevetlana, my Red Empress changes colors a good bit, he loses the color when i grab the camera unfortunently. I know how you feel. And yes the flash washes out fishes color.
