went back to the fishy store, and looked at the cichlids that i wanted... the price tag said 6.99 each but the ones that i picked out were like 7.99 and 8.99... although they were in the tank that said 6.99. i didnt go to my usual store so i dont know if they were taking advantage if me or not... has anyone bought them off line like ebay? they are selling 25 of them for 55 buy it now (bid is up to 40 tho) and 77 over night shipping... so that is like 5.28 each and this is the kinds that it may include:

Red zebra, livingtoni, ahli, red empress, kenyi, johanni, socoloffi, ob zebra, red top zebra, rusty, auratus, bumblebee, saulosi, acei.

are these ones usually the cheep ones at the pet store? cuz i noticed they did not mention anything about yellow labs. i think they didnt any ways.

how many cichlids could i put in my 80 gal? 25 enough or should i go w/ 40-50 of them.

Personaly I would try and suport your LFS if you can. But sometimes buying there can cost 4-5 times what it could cost some where else.

Check out some local fish clubs if you have any, or anyone localy or not so localy that you could still drive too and pick up the fish. That alone will save you a small fortune on shipping.

yea i like to support the local economy but some times, it is way cheeper to get them online... like there is an auction for 100 cichlids for 175+shipping... so that is $1.75 each and they are 6.99 at LFS. maby if i bought like 50 from the fish store they would be cheeper?
