Lucky you i snapped an update of mine. I really don't have many rocks, basically because i eventually plan to fill up the space with fish ;)

Basically i wanted some bottem structure. Nothing tall and...well un-natural looking. Unless you are near some of the big rock shelves in the lake there are just rocks along the bottem and not stacked real high (from what i've seen....the "Jewel of the Rift" video gave me GREAT ideas though). I just went more natural with it. Planning on adding maybe a few more on top but thats it.

This is of my 29 gallon. It's the most 'natural' african tank I have. (READ: natural as in lots of rocks) Sorry for the poor image quality.

This is my 45 gallon. Lots of plants and rocks. Probably not really what you are looking for, but just goes to show that not all african tanks have to be nothing but rocks.

Large, rounder rocks will be the norm in the wild. C-Man has a good thing going with what he has, and in the second tank of mine I've used small rounder rocks. It's really up to you as how you want to decorate your tank. There are lots of clifs and caves in the lakes as well.

lol, well, the grass is always greener on the other side C-Man. Bland as in lack of color? Well lets just say I wouldn't want to see your empress next to my brevis and let people decide which one is more colorfull. ;)
