Are cleaner shrimp a good thing to have? will they help out your fish, or not realy. would you guys suggest one with an Yellow Angle. the only prob. I think I have is could you put one or two in with my Dotty Back Royal? I heard it might pick on the shrimp?......... *PEACE!*

royal dottybacks (and most pseudochromis) tend to go after shrimp so its tough to say whether it would be okay or not. as far as the practical value of the cleaners, basically what they do is eat parasites on fish. i don't personally believe they are a necessary part of a healthy tank but they are fun to watch. but, with the cost of cleaners at around $15 i would think you might be better off spending that money on that second powerhead you are looking for

They're nice to have, and you should be ok. As a cure for ich they're very limited. They just won't eat enough, plus they only eat what they can see, not buried parasites , or those in the gills
