Hi again..thanks for always replying to my queiries. Well i recently bought a 10 gallon fish tank a thrift shop today, it was $7.99!!! includes a broken hood, but the light works, also a background. Now, what should I do to clean it up? because I really don't know where it came from and what they did to it. and I also bought some "Play Sand" at the Hardware Store, is this sand ok for the aquariam tank??? thanks again.

I think I read where some folks broke down their tanks (algae problem) and used diluted bleach, followed by massive fresh water rinses.
I also bought a used tank - and that's what I did.  But I haven't set that tank up yet, so I don't know how the fish will do.
I'm definitely going to wait to see what the experienced fishies say...
