Cleaning eheim hose

have anyone ever cleaned the eheim hose? because mine is growing algae and stuff, can somebody have any method to clean this hose?

I remove my hoses from the filter and remove fittings.

Then I connect it to the hot tape in my laundry and blast it with boiling water.

Tends to clean a of it out.

Otherwise get some string. Put a fishing sinker on one end and a bit of kitchen scrubber pad on the other and draw it through the hose to clean gunk out!

it's not expensive, it's just a little bottle brush on a long piece of wire.. you shove the brush down in the hose, and push it down further along the tube with the wire... you will reach a point where the wire begins to flex so you'll have to pull it out and start from the other end.

luvfishies showed me how to do it. it's easy. and cleans them up real nice.

i dont have an eheim but i would send a string thru, tie cloth or something onto the end and pull the string back through so it rubs everything off the sides

i bought a set of 3 brushes 1 for hoses, one for tubes and a larger one for filters, was about $2.50 at petco
