just wondering, is there a proper way to clean sand? i have a siphon, but if i was to put the siphon close tothe sand im afraid that the sand would get sucked into the tube. is there an alternative?
well when I clean my sand I just take the syphon and hover it about and inch or 2 above the sand and it gets all of the debris up pretty well. Also about once a month I will take everything out of my tank and stir the sand to make sure no dead spots start to form.
