I went to visit my folks the other day and I popped into the LFS there to pick up a small filter for the neglected office betta and I saw that they had a huge new cichlid section. In one of the tanks they had a group of nice looking fish that I am now trying to identify the one huge failing of this store is that they refuse to use useful latin and instead use common names with cute descriptions. So here I am trying to find out what it is.
This fish was shaped alot like a paradise fish with a mostly blue body and a reddish head and fins. It was in a section with the new world cichlids. The name was a redtailed something or other and the stupid cute description was that it is a "great cleanup crew fish!" I'm not interested in a gravel picker in particular but it was a nice looking fish that I would like learn something about besides it's eating habits.
Any cichlid experts think they can help me narrow this down?
