I recently purchased a betta fish. I have him in a 1.5 gallon fish bowl with gravel and some plants. I’ve had the plants for over 2 years, and as soon as I got the betta they died. A slimy sorta substance was all around the plants (looked like plants were rotting and getting slimy) and the water started getting cloudy. I changed the water and got a new live plant. Three days later the same thing is happening, except the plant isn’t dying yet, but there is the same sorta slime all over it, and the water is cloudy. I just changed the water a few days ago and I don’t know what to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
